“A Place of Life” - The Stafford Center of Burkina Faso, West Africa

The Stafford Foundation is pleased to announce the construction and near-completion of The Stafford Center, a center built in collaboration with International Cooperating Ministries (ICM) and the Evangelical Association for Development Support (AEAD). The center is located in Burkina Faso, and offers education, training, and a home to people in need in the surrounding West African region.

The center is comprised of several buildings and offers the following services:

• A school for children, which will serve up to 75 students at a time (with plans to expand and serve more children in the works)
• A school for adults which will provide West African residents with a strong education, as well as training for international leaders
• Job training which will provide people with practical skills necessary to become self-serving and independent
• A Christian church providing ministry and a place of prayer for residents
• A conference center to host international and religious leaders wanting to speak with local residents and offer them assistance
• Permanent residency for up to 100 children of the utmost need, with plans for expansion currently underway

The center is nearing completion and has already begun to provide services to people in need across the region.

In addition to providing assistance, education, training, and ministry, the ultimate goal of the Stafford Center is to provide independence. With the services the center offers, people who have lived in poverty have the chance to become independent and take what they have learned back to their communities, which will allow them to help others the way they have been helped themselves.
