About DOING GOOD

Doing Good™ is dedicated to empowering the underserved to help others and contribute to a world-changing cycle of good. Through monetary support, feature stories, volunteer opportunities, and much more, we are taking back our world by doing good and making a difference in others’ lives.

How We Help

The “Doing Good” campaign is an initiative of The Stafford Foundation (TSF), a nonprofit organization which furthers the cause of Jesus Christ by investing in education and training to empower the underserved to do good. We collaborate with and invest in capacity-building efforts that that provide health, education, training, and faith-based mission support.

Our largest project to date is The People’s Inaugural Project. TSF brought more than 400 disadvantaged Americans from across the country to participate as guests for a three-day gathering that included four events - the People's Inaugural Ball, a Youth Ball, a prayer breakfast, and a luncheon. The event captured the hearts of millions and put TSF into the public spotlight.

The Stafford Foundation has continued its investment in individuals through The Peoples’ Project, which invests in underserved people through continued outreach. The Peoples’ Project 2010 national initiative, launched with the assistance of new friend and supporter Bill Cosby, focuses specifically on Doing Good and enabling others to do good works. TSF recognizes that many people want to do good, but simply don’t know how. The People’s Project aims to combat this obstacle with tutorials, feature stories, and campaigns, all connected by the common thread of doing good. It is TSF’s goal to help others learn how to help themselves, so that one day they may be capable of helping someone else in need.

The Stafford Foundation partners with numerous organizations, working closely with them to ensure project support and collaboration.  These organizations provide various services to individuals to help them improve their lives.  These efforts range from education and job training to health and wellness programs. Several of our partners are featured in our Making a Difference series to share their stories of "doing good."

We have also given grants to various organizations devoted to doing good. For example, TSF recently awarded a $25,000 grant to the Capital Youth Empowerment Program, Inc. (CYEP), an organization dedicated to keeping fathers within their homes and families’ lives. TSF also provides support for education and training offered by All Faith Consortium, an organization which houses, trains, and provides small business development programs to assist disabled veterans and their families.
